Finished necklace
Daintiest loop-in-loop I have

Word count/read time: 210 words; 1 minute

A chain family called loop-in-loop predates chainmaille by thousands of years. Within a given weave, there are endless modifications. Several designs were screaming to be made in solid 18k gold. Gold is too precious to squander on an unknown so I first make one in 0.999 fine silver. I'd rather screw it up in silver - not as much time is lost and it's less painful to melt it down and start over.

The exquisite nature of fine chains is something that must be experienced in person.

Finally, my first gold necklace: A dainty micromaille one-sided single loop-in-loop masterpiece. The other is a boxy micromaille two-sided single loop-in-loop bracelet.

These are items four and five in the IYHTAITE Collection (If You Have To Ask It's Too Expensive). That's the slang name. It is part of the Aurum Elegantia gold collection.

Trying to assess a chain's tactile component through photos is like imagining how it would feel to rip down the side of a mountain on a bicycle if all you've ever done is ride a stationary bike. The exquisite nature of fine chains is something that must be experienced in person. I make exceptional precious metal chain link jewelry.

Item six in the Aurum Elegantia collection has already been made and will be featured in an upcoming blog. Number seven is in the works.
