Aspect ratio (A.R.) for jump rings is determined by dividing the inner diameter (I.D.) of the ring by the wire thickness. It doesn't matter what unit of measurement is used as long as both are the same.
EXAMPLE: 3/8" (0.375") I.D. ring of 16 gauge (0.0508") wire would be: 0.375 / 0.0508 = 7.382 A.R.
